Your Secret You

Practical and profound ways to overcome stress.

You Don't Need to Tell Anyone What You Are

The truth is apparent without language, but lies travel easily with words. An honest man doesn’t feel honest, he simply is honest. A hard worker may feel tired at the end of a long day, but he has no need to say he’s a hard worker. One needs to only look at him to know.

Rather, it’s the dishonest man who needs to tell others how honest he is. It’s the unholy man who needs to announce his holiness to others. It’s the people who say they’re kind that are the meanest of them all. Pay close attention to what people call themselves, and especially what you call yourself.

There’s no need to explain yourself. You don’t owe anyone an answer. You simply need to be what you are, and if what you see in the mirror shocks you, you’re farther along the path than most.
