The Parable of Hidden Safety
A man woke up in the morning. He thought of drinking tea, but the tea was invaded by an ant colony. So drank a cup of coffee instead, drove to work, took a nature walk durning his lunch break, and walked home.
What the man did not see, was that his wicked coworkers wanted to ruin his life. One of them had set up a discreet strip of tire spikes near his driveway–hoping he would get a flat tire–but that morning, the wind tore the strip off the ground and carried it away.
Another coworker gave him tainted tea hoping it would sicken him, but that morning, the man didn’t drink the tea because the ants had invaded it. He threw the spoiled tea away, so there was no chance of it ever sickening him–even though he never knew the wicked intent behind the gift.
Another coworker planned to drop a paperweight out the window, hoping it would land on his head while he walked around the building on lunch break. But that afternoon, the man decided he would go on a nature walk in a nearby park, so his coworker’s dark plan was thwarted.
Later that week, the man got a job offer from another company that only offered slightly better pay. The man accepted it, however, because something in him saw that it was the obvious way forward. He never knew what wickeness others sought to bring on him, but his consciense within made his steps right, and no evil could touch him no matter how much it would have loved to.
Even though you may not see it, God is fighting evil on your behalf, so that you may never have to worry.
