No Matter the Odds
A young man walks into life’s big casino, and finds himself thrust into endless rounds of poker.
At first he feels disheartened, because he loses his money, and when he loses, everyone laughs at him. In response to this, the young man decides he’ll do everything he can to win big.
He studies the game, and becomes so calculated and ruthless in his approach, that he becomes the greatest player at the table. But when he takes everyone’s money, they become angry at him, and he is still disatissfied, because it seems no matter what he does, he will always be a failure.
You will be laughed at for being a loser, and hated for your success. A life of true spiritual satisfaction requires you to abandon your need for validation from others. Many people succeed in life, but are spiritually shipwrecked. It is a mistake to chase success, because you will always be chasing it, and there will never come a day where you find yourself truly satisfied. Spiritual satisfaction is waiting for you here and now, no matter where you are in life.
